Here are some of the more common questions our customers ask when creating a retail or specialty package.

Q: How much will it cost?

A: While there is no hard and fast rule, the average initial cost for a retail packaging project is $2,500-$3,500 for a full-color, and $1,500-$2,500 for one color. Keep in mind, these are only general guidelines and your price will vary based in the complexity of the project and graphic requirements. We will do our best to deliver the most effective packaging solution for your budget.

Q: How does the process work?

A: First we will need to complete a structural design based on your requirements. If your needs are basic, the design fee is minimal. For more complex packaging, the cost of structural design could be $500-1,000. After the structural design is completed we'll provide an electronic die line (blueprint) of the box so you can lay out your artwork. If you need assistance with graphic design, we can assit you for a nominal fee. Once we receive the completed die line back from you with artwork, we will produce your boxes in one to two weeks. A color proof will be provided for your approval prior to running the job. In most cases it takes about 3-6 weeks from start to finish.

Q: What if I need less than 100 boxes?

A: You may want to consider our direct digital printing option which costs more per piece but carries much lower up-front costs. You can expect to pay about $20-60 per box for this service.

Q: What if I need inner support or a tray for my product?

A: We can assist you with the design and manufacture of custom trays, foam and other protective packaging. It's always best to send us exactly what you are going to package so that we can engineer the correct inner packaging solution. We will make sure you get the product(s) back after the design is complete.

Q: Do you offer plastic boxes or clear packaging?

A: We do offer clear plastic packaging but there are higher minimums with this substrate.
